In short: the app is free to use. It's provided "as is", without any warranty. Download it only from official sources, and don't redistribute modified copies under our name. The full terms below are what apply.

1. Who we are

Lucid Sinhala Wijesekara Keyboard (“the App”) and this website (sinhala.lucidgrammar.com) are made by Lucid Grammar (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at [YOUR EMAIL].

2. Agreeing to these terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

3. Permission to use

We give you a free, worldwide, non-exclusive permission to use the App on any number of computers, for personal, educational, government, or commercial purposes. You don't need to pay or register.

4. What you may not do

• Sell the App, or charge for downloading it, as if it were your own product.
• Distribute a changed copy of the App under our name or our icon, or in a way that suggests we made or approved it.
• Bundle the App with malware, adware, or software that is installed without the user's clear consent.
• Use the App to break any law, or to harm or spy on other people.

The names “Lucid Sinhala” and “Lucid Grammar” and the App's icon belong to Lucid Grammar. The Wijesekara layout itself (which key gives which letter) is a shared standard, and we don't claim it as ours.

5. How the App works

To turn your key presses into Sinhala, the App watches the keyboard across Windows while it is running, and types the Sinhala characters into the program you're using. It handles this only on your computer. See the Privacy Policy for details. You can turn Sinhala typing off, or quit the App, at any time from its tray icon.

6. Official downloads

Only download the App from this website, sinhala.lucidgrammar.com. We aren't responsible for copies you get from anywhere else, because they might have been changed.

7. No warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We don't promise that the App will be free of errors, that it will work with every program, or that every character will come out right. Please check important documents before you use them.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or lost work, that arise from using the App or being unable to use it. Since the App is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to zero, or to the lowest amount the applicable law allows. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

9. Third-party software and trademarks

The keyboard layout is based on mac-wijesekara, Copyright © 2025 Dasun Sameera Weerasinghe, which is used under the MIT License. The App runs on Microsoft .NET. Windows is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft.

10. Updates and changes

We may release new versions of the App, change these terms, or stop offering the App at any time. When we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the App after a change, you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR COUNTRY]. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
