In short: the App collects nothing. Your typing stays on your computer, and the App never connects to the internet.

1. The App

Key presses. To change what you type into Sinhala, the App has to see each key press while Sinhala typing is on. It works out the Sinhala character on your computer, types it, and keeps nothing afterwards apart from the last syllable it typed, which it needs to place letters like ෙ correctly. It doesn't log, save, or send your key presses anywhere.

No internet access. The App has no network features. It has no analytics, crash reporting, ads, accounts, or automatic update checks.

Settings saved on your PC. The App saves two settings in your Windows user registry:

These settings never leave your computer. To remove them, turn off Start with Windows before you delete the App, and delete the LucidSinhalaKeyboard key with Registry Editor if you want to.

2. This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics, or tracking, and it has no forms. The “try it” box runs entirely in your browser, and nothing you type in it is sent anywhere.

3. Contacting us

If you email us, we'll receive whatever you choose to send, such as your email address, and use it only to reply. We won't sell or share it.

4. Children

The App and this website collect no personal information, so they're safe for students and children to use.

5. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a future version of the App ever needs to collect anything, we'll say so clearly here and in the App before it does.
